Norio brings more than two decades of diversified media and business leadership to his role as COO. He joined The Asahi Shimbun Company in 2002, advancing through key positions in both the Advertising Division—where he managed major corporate accounts—and the Editorial Division as a frontline reporter. Seconded to The Asahi Shimbun Middle East Holdings in 2025, he now directs the subsidiary’s day‑to‑day operations, steering new business development, news gathering, and multi‑platform content distribution across the Middle East. Drawing on a strong professional network throughout the GCC, he is committed to forging enduring partnerships that connect Japan with the Arab world and deliver high‑value insights to clients and audiences on both sides.
After joining The Asahi Shimbun, he began his career in internal operations before moving into corporate sales. He worked with a wide range of clients, including national tourism boards, airlines, travel agencies, sports organizations, and fashion brands. To help clients achieve their goals, he delivered comprehensive advertising solutions through print and digital media, coupled with strategic consulting.
In October 2024, he became a founding member of The Asahi Shimbun Middle East Holdings and has since been actively involved in launching and growing the business from the ground up.
